Competition Requirements
There are three (3) steps to complete:
- Registration
Registration must be completed prior to the first submission date of November 15, 2004.
- Preliminary Proposal
A preliminary research proposal of no more than three (3) pages is highly recommended and can be sent via email to:
catimac@ewb.ca
Preliminary submissions are strongly recommended but not required. The proposal must identify the selected project and can be submitted in English or French. After screening proposals for viability, judges will provide feedback to guide the second stage of research for successful candidates. This feedback will be sent to participants in February.
MAC and EWB are soliciting research papers directed towards a variety of problem areas. To see the list of proposed projects click here.
* Please note: In past years, we have had general project design categories, meant to guide projects entered into the competition. Although this has resulted in many great ideas, they have sometimes been directed at a need that may nay no longer exist. Thus, we are currently in the process of making changes to our website to reflect a more "needs-based approach" for project designs.
- Final Research Paper
Final submissions can be submitted in English or French and must include an abstract. Final submissions must be sent as hard copies and in an electronic format by April 1, 2005 to the address below:
