PRESS RELEASE

Meet the Winner of MAC’s Canadian What If…YouTube Competition!

Date 06-Nov-2009
Author/Publisher MAC
Summary MAC is very pleased to announce that the winner of our first Canadian YouTube competition is Justin Benko of St. Albert, Alberta.
Details As our winner, Justin will be awarded a Flip Ultra Second Generation Camcorder and one all-expense paid trip to participate in MAC's International Youth Forum taking place alongside the Cartagena Summit in Colombia, the 2nd Review Conference of the Mine Ban Treaty, from 28 November – 6 December 2009.

The competition was designed to find new, compelling and provocative ways to tell the story of the real, human impact of the work against landmines and cluster bombs, and why everyone – specifically the Canadian public – should support efforts towards a world free from cluster bombs and landmines.

This theme was intended to focus attention on the life-changing implications of banning landmines and cluster bombs, particularly as it relates to young people both affected by these weapons and working to eliminate them.

Congratulations Justin!
