	531 UK manufactured BL755 cluster bombs, containing more than 78,000 submunitions, were dropped on Kosovo between 24 March and 11 June 1999. More than seven years after the end of the conflict, submunitions from these cluster bombs are still being cleared. In March 2005 the UK Ministry of Defence admitted that the BL755 has a “failure rate that is unacceptably high".
