Are you interested in learning more about how to campaign against explosive weapon use? Mines Action Canada has just published a new toolkit to help with your advocacy!
The Youth Campaigning Toolkit on EWIPA is being launched as States meet in Oslo this week for the first meeting on the Political Declaration on Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas. It's important to keep pressure on States to follow-through on their commitments to protect civilians, as well as encourage States who have not yet done so to endorse the EWIPA Political Declaration. This toolkit will help guide youth on how to make change both domestically and internationally, by advancing the universalization and implementation of the EWIPA Political Declaration.
The Toolkit includes tips on how to:
- build a campaign;
- lobby public officials;
- engage with the military;
- amplify and include survivors;
And more!
Click these links to access the toolkit in: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic.
Please feel free to share this resource with any interested youth. Together, let's make using explosive weapons in populated areas a practice of the past!
